Verification summary

The Muff Fields Project is comprised of multiple fields totalling 5653.3 acres, located in Crawford, Harrison, Monana and Shelby Counties in Iowa. The cropping methods employed to produce food and fiber in these fields draw incremental CO2 out of the atmosphere, enhancing soil health, moisture retention, soil productivity and increasing the percent of soil organic matter (SOM%), and related organic carbon (SOC), that is retained in the top 20 centimeters of the soil layer. The Supplier has implemented no till planting on the earliest fields since 2014. This project reflects practice changes that were adopted during and/or after individual field’s switch years (2011, 2013, 2014 and 2020). Carbon Removal Claims arising from this project have been grandfathered under the Pilot Project provisions of the Nori marketplace. This project is part of the Nori pilot (“Pilot”), and therefore qualifies for up to 5 years worth of “grandfathered” Nori removal tonnes (NRT).
