About
Who We Are Came Farms is a family farm, currently in its' fifth generation, located in central Kansas. In 1872, George Came came to Kansas, leaving his home in England. In 1895, Augusta Muchow inherited land from her father, and on March 11, 1903 George and Augusta were married. They homesteaded on her inherited land, which today is the location of our homeplace. After several generations, William Came and his wife Joyce, incorporated the farm in 1994. Their three children, Bill, Chad, and Darcy continued to grow the operation following the passing of William in 2009. Today, Came Farms boasts nine full time employees, including five of William and Joyce's grandsons, Kody, Kyle, Spencer, Joel, and Owen. Our Mission Our mission is to produce the highest quality products at the lowest possible costs, while being the best possible stewards of the land. As we strive to become an optimum operation, we want to appear professional in our business practices and relationships, as well as our physical appearances. Our goal is to become the farm of choice for landowners. We plan to become their choice by utilizing current technology, extensive record keeping, good business and management structure, and specialized employees. We realize that we can only be successful if our employees are successful. This is why we strive to attract and retain honest, skilled and dedicated employees who are courteous and take pride in their work. We believe the operation will continue to prosper if we can do these things.

Timeline | We have always worked hard to be at the front edge of conservative/regenerative farming practices. We began experimenting with no-till in the early nineties and by 2002 had converted all of our acres to no-till. With no-till, came the ability to graze our cattle on the corn and sorghum stalks after harvest, which we continue to do today. In 2016, we began to utilize variable rate, at first with fertilizer, but later using variable rate for seeding as well. |
