About

My company Prairie Feed & Trucking LLC, previously known as Co-Products Plus LLC was founded in 2005. I have a 34 year career history with Land O’ Lakes Inc. and CHS Inc. (Cenex) and has extensive domestic and global management experience in feed commodities and crop inputs. PFT’s original objective was to provide marketing and logistic services to the emerging ethanol industries animal feed co-products in NW Iowa and SW Minnesota, focusing on cattle feedlots and dairies. When I moved back to the farm I had gained a lot of knowledge from my professional experience and wanted to use them in my farming operations in O’Brien county. I watched my neighbors use a lot of tillage to prepare the soils for planting which seemed like work and cost and soil health was going the wrong direction. I also watched some of my no-till neighbors and I liked what I saw in soil health and higher yields that generate much higher profits. We started to include our livestock nutrients in our production plan which helped again in cost and better nutrient management.
